Most people eventually negotiate with comfort.

A few keep riding toward impossible things.

The older I get, the more I understand that life isn’t really about victory. It’s about remaining true to your quest when the world grows cynical, your body grows tired, people misunderstand you, and the road stretches empty and lonely.

It’s about fighting for what is right without stopping, without surrendering, and without letting the darkness around you seep into your soul.

That truth lands heavier once you’ve lived.

After you’ve buried good friends.

After the scars have multiplied and stiffened.

After you’ve quietly buried younger versions of yourself you once believed were permanent.

After watching futures you poured your life into collapse in silence.

And yet… some men keep riding.

Not because they’re certain they’ll plant their banner on the summit.

Not because the star feels reachable.

They ride because the pursuit itself forges them. Because quitting would cost something far more precious than exhaustion ever could.

That is courage.

A scarred old knight, cloak torn, sword nicked, body aching, still riding toward the horizon with whatever strength remains in his battered frame.

Still reaching.

Still believing.

Still riding toward the unreachable star.

Because some things matter more than arrival.

What a wonderful legacy you are leaving in your storytelling! Seems like you have a very strong WHY behind your stories, and that is great to see!
